Some of the leading entertainers of these two genres will be in performance from <span class=\"xn-chron\">3 PM to 3 AM<\/span> on the first day. It will be the first time a music festival of this kind will be held in the birthplace of the music.<\/p>\n<p>Artistes performing include The Skatalites (<span class=\"xn-location\">USA<\/span>), Soweto Ska Band (<span class=\"xn-location\">Spain<\/span>), <span class=\"xn-person\">Marcia Griffiths<\/span> (<span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica<\/span>), <span class=\"xn-person\">B.B. Seaton<\/span> and the Gaylads (UK), Sparrow Martin and Skasonic (<span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica<\/span>), Brooklyn Attractors (<span class=\"xn-location\">USA<\/span>), <span class=\"xn-person\">Leroy Sibbles<\/span> former lead singer of the Heptones (<span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica<\/span>), <span class=\"xn-person\">Hugh Roy<\/span>, the King of the Jamaican toasters, <span class=\"xn-person\">Derrick Morgan<\/span>, the King of Ska music (<span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica<\/span>), and Stranjah Cole (<span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica<\/span>), and the Alpha School Band, with students of the school that produced many of <span class=\"xn-location\">Jamaica&#8217;s<\/span> great musicians, like Dizzy Reece, Harold &#8220;Little G&#8221; McNair, <span class=\"xn-person\">Joe Harriot<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-person\">Tommy McCook<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-person\">Don Drummond<\/span>, and <span class=\"xn-person\">Rico Rodriguez<\/span>. Other bands are expected to perform.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is a production of Sounds &amp; Pressure Foundation (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.soundsandpressure.org\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.soundsandpressure.org<\/a>), in association with Fiwi Productions Inc.
