KAYE REGARDING

THE OFFICIAL RECALL OF THE REPLACEMENT NOTE7 SMARTPHONES

October 13, 2016

Samsung, the wireless carriers, and the retailers are doing the right thing for their customers, in light of recent cases of overheating and burning with replacement Galaxy Note7 smartphones. Now, we need affected consumers to respond—without delay. The fire hazard with the original Note7 and with the replacement Note7 is simply too great or anyone to risk it and not respond to this official recall.

It’s not worth risking your safety and the safety of others—at home, at work, on the road or in the air. We worked cooperatively with Samsung on an official recall that provides consumers two remedy options—a full refund or a free replacement phone. Consumers should respond to the recall and not hold on to the phone. Samsung and CPSC are pushing for a 100% response rate to this recall.

“The Galaxy Note7 recall has proven to be a real challenge for Samsung. I am very concerned that consumers who exchanged their phones for replacement Galaxy Note 7s are now at risk again. We at CPSC have worked diligently under difficult circumstances to protect consumers and bring this matter to an appropriate close. CPSC will continue to hold Samsung and other companies accountable when consumer safety is put at risk.

No one should ever have to worry that a battery-powered device might put them, their family or their property at risk. I would like to remind consumers once again to take advantage of the remedies offered, including a full refund. If you own a Galaxy Note7, contact Samsung or your wireless carrier and participate in this recall. It’s the right thing to do and the safest thing to do.

Logo – http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20030904/USCSCLOGO

WASHINGTON, Oct. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ —

https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/Samsung-Expands-Recall-of-Galaxy-Note7-Smartphones-Based-on-Additional-Incidents-with-Replacement-Phones

<img…

[8

post-48539","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-familia-y-vida
["GET
