DOB is a classroom-based business education program designed for the working poor to ensure they have the skills they need to succeed in their microenterprises and support greater economic livelihoods. <\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg1ec2left\" style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: left; WIDTH: 100%\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg1ec2left\" title=\"Accion Logo.\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Accion Logo.\" align=\"middle\" src=\"http:\/\/photos.prnewswire.com\/prnvar\/20120320\/NE72531LOGO\"\/><\/div>\n<p>The FedEx grant will support the adaptation of DOB to a digital format, making the program less expensive to deliver, more flexible, and more easily accessible for a broader audience. Since DOB&#8217;s launch in 1999, more than 830,000 entrepreneurs (62% women) have been trained in 16 countries on 2 continents. More than 50 program modules \u2013 available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese \u2013 focus on a range of topics, including &#8220;Starting a Business,&#8221; &#8220;Improving Business Competitiveness,&#8221; and &#8220;Making the Most of Money.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The digital version of the program will focus particularly on women entrepreneurs in peri-urban and semi-rural areas, and will be designed specifically for a low-income, low-literacy audience, with the goal of improving participants&#8217; business skills.
