His cases have spanned a wide array of areas, including intellectual property, environmental, securities and criminal law.\u00a0 Most notably, Martinez successfully argued on behalf of <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span> in <i>Halo Electronics, Inc. v. Pulse Electronics<\/i>, helping to secure a win in one of the most important intellectual property cases before the Court last Term, addressing the legal standard for awarding enhanced damages under the Patent Act.\u00a0 He also successfully argued for <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span> in <i>Octane Fitness, LLC v.
