A <i>derby<\/i> is a common term in soccer that refers to a game between two teams from the same town, city or region.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Open Cup is a knockout competition in American soccer; the Cup is the third-longest-running open soccer tournament in the world and is the country&#8217;s oldest annual team competition. The Cup is open to all amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and consists of eight rounds <span class=\"xn-chron\">between May 10 and September 20<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a lot of pride that comes from clubs playing in the U.S. Open Cup.
