Mr. Pe\u00f1a comes to DoubleLine from international asset manager Robeco where he served as managing director for <span class=\"xn-location\">Latin America<\/span> and U.S. Offshore. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to heading DoubleLine&#8217;s institutional and private client relations in <span class=\"xn-location\">Latin America<\/span> and the <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span>, Mr. Pe\u00f1a will manage relations with overseas clients, advisors and distributors engaging the firm via its U.S. offshore platforms.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thanks to economic growth, a broadening middle class and rising standards of living, countries in Central and <span class=\"xn-location\">South America<\/span> have seen growth in assets entrusted to pension funds, insurers and other fiduciaries. Mr. Pe\u00f1a began his career in asset management at BBVA Bancomer in <span class=\"xn-location\">Houston<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Miami<\/span> before joining Bank Hapoalim as senior private banker. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico y de Estudios Superiores de <span class=\"xn-location\">Monterrey<\/span>, Tecnol\u00f3gico de <span class=\"xn-location\">Monterrey, Mexico<\/span>, and an MBA from the Stern <span class=\"xn-org\">School of Business, New York University<\/span>.
