The comedians tell their stories of growing up Latino in the U.S. touching on everything from moving cross-country to growing older in a technology-driven world. They also give their unique perspective on other topics including how to spend money once you finally get some, having a childhood <i>cholo <\/i>phase, making love while aging, and more. <\/p>\n<p><i>Entre Nos: Part 1<\/i> (HBO LATINO\u00ae&#8217;s Spanish-language comedy special) recently premiered on the network this past June and will return to the channel with more specials in 2018. <\/p>\n<p><b>VLAD\u00a0<\/b><br \/>Vlad&#8217;s comedic style is the fruit of an immigrant Dominican family living in <span class=\"xn-location\">New York City<\/span> and is described as a combination of urban grit and intellect. After graduating from <span class=\"xn-org\">Wesleyan University<\/span> he launched into standup comedy. Vlad has quickly become a staple of the New York Comedy scene performing at The Stand, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Dangerfield&#8217;s and the Comic Strip Live. In 2016, Vlad was named one of the Top 10 Comics to Watch by Variety and was honored at Just For Laughs.<\/p>\n<p><b>FRANKIE<\/b><br \/>Frankie Qui\u00f1ones&#8217; performance is compared to a one-man variety show. He has toured with some of the industry&#8217;s most respected headliners including <span class=\"xn-person\">Craig Robinson<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-person\">Paul Rodriguez<\/span>, and <span class=\"xn-person\">Eddie Griffin<\/span> to name a few. His repertoire of characters ranges from a hippie woman named <span class=\"xn-person\">Sun Diamond<\/span>, to <span class=\"xn-person\">Juanita Carmelita<\/span>, a spicy Latina diva on a budget, to Creeper, a Cholo who has changed his life in a positive direction.<\/p>\n<p><b>SHAYLA<\/b><br \/><span class=\"xn-person\">Shayla Rivera<\/span> is a Puerto Rican\/American stand-up comedian who uses observational and self-deprecating humor to point out that the truth is the funniest thing out there. Rivera&#8217;s material is intended for mature audiences as she reports her observations of the common experiences in our everyday life.
