The remaining kits will be distributed in different cities on the island this month.<\/p>\n<p>The shelter repair kits are the first phase of Habitat for Humanity&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.habitat.org\/hurricanes\" rel=\"nofollow\">Habitat Hammers Back<\/a> hurricane recovery initiative in <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span>. Habitat has pledged to assist more than 6,000 families in <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Florida<\/span> following the devastation of the hurricanes this year. Habitat for Humanity is developing a long-term recovery strategy in <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span> as assessments are performed and conditions permit.
