<span class=\"xn-org\">NYU<\/span> President <span class=\"xn-person\">Andrew Hamilton<\/span> today announced that <span class=\"xn-org\">NYU<\/span> would admit a special cohort of undergraduate students currently enrolled in Puerto Rican colleges whose education was disrupted by the hurricanes that hit the island in September.\u00a0 <span class=\"xn-org\">NYU<\/span> will cover their tuition for the spring 2018 semester, as well as housing in a student residence hall, a meal plan, and enrollment in <span class=\"xn-org\">NYU&#8217;s<\/span> Student Health Insurance plan. <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/admissions\/visiting-students\/hurricane-maria-assistance-program.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Applications open today<\/a> for the NYU Hurricane Maria Assistance Program, and will remain open through <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 15, 2017<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span class=\"xn-location\">New York City<\/span> has a deep relationship with <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span>, and so does <span class=\"xn-org\">NYU<\/span>,&#8221;
