This year, CIOMA&#8217;s Memorial Scholarship gave more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$10,000<\/span> in financial assistance donated by CIOMA member companies. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This money will help me on my journey to further my academic and possibly my athletic career at Cal Poly,&#8221; said CIOMA Memorial Scholarship recipient, <span class=\"xn-person\">Logan Jennings<\/span>. &#8220;Because of the generosity and support from organizations like CIOMA, a college education becomes a possibility for young people like me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, this year, CIOMA members raised more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$500,000<\/span> for charities like the Special Olympics, Make-a-Wish Foundation, and the Fuel Relief Fund. Flyers Energy raised more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$163,000<\/span> in 2017, earning <span class=\"xn-money\">$72,500<\/span> for the Special Olympics in its annual charity golf tournament alone. Boyett Petroleum provided <span class=\"xn-money\">$275,000<\/span> for children&#8217;s educational opportunities through its golf tournament, with Interstate Oil doing the same for the Make-a-Wish Fund. <\/p>\n<p>With the recent disasters devastating <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>, CIOMA members have also raised more than <span class=\"xn-money\">$50,000<\/span> for the Fuel Relief Fund, with more money heading where it is needed most every day.
