The\u00a0traveling, hands-on\u00a0exhibit\u00a0raises\u00a0awareness\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0<i>All of Us\u00a0<\/i>Research Program\u2014an ambitious effort to gather data from 1 million or more people living in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span> to accelerate research and improve health.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are glad the National Alliance for Hispanic Health\u00a0recognizes\u00a0our region as\u00a0an important stop on the national tour\u00a0and they are taking on a national effort to focus on the Hispanic population.\u00a0If you look at most\u00a0biomedical, behavioral or social science\u00a0research, it doesn&#8217;t involve the Hispanic population,&#8221; Robert A.\u00a0Kirken,\u00a0Ph.D.,\u00a0College of Science Dean and principal investigator of <span class=\"xn-org\">UTEP&#8217;s<\/span> Border Biomedical Research Center (BBRC)\u00a0explained. &#8220;If you look into clinical trials and large study groups, most of the time Hispanic participants are non-existent. It is our duty to figure out how we can better their lives through our\u00a0science.&#8221;<br \/>Campus and community members are invited to come learn about the program and get information on healthy living and preventing disease.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As healthcare professionals, it is critical that we educate our community and engage them in making a difference in their health,&#8221; Elias\u00a0Provencio-Vasquez, Ph.D., School of Nursing Dean said. &#8220;This traveling unit provides people the opportunity to find out more about research efforts to help them, and their community, in an interactive way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">El Paso<\/span> is one stop on the\u00a0<i>All of Us\u00a0<\/i>Journey&#8217;s 37-week national tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All of Us is so important to shaping the future of health in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>,&#8221; said Dr. <span class=\"xn-person\">Jane L.
