He also said that the first Latin American Pope &#8220;breaks paradigms and encourages cross-disciplinary leadership that impacts the world beyond just Catholics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We Latinos are proud of the Pope&#8217;s humility, service, and example,&#8221; Cala added.<\/p>\n<p>Sergio Fern\u00e1ndez de C\u00f3rdova, president of the PVBLIC Foundation, announced that the third edition of the event in 2018 will be dedicated to <span class=\"xn-location\">Mexico<\/span>, although matters pertinent to the entire continent will be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Latino Impact Summit allowed us once again to confirm that together we can increase our impact, and that the road to development in the region is paved by alliances. Next year we hope to celebrate major results from the commitments acquired, and that the alliances that were made will help us progress in fulfilling the 2030 Sustainable Development agenda,&#8221; Fern\u00e1ndez de C\u00f3rdova, the main event organizer added.<\/p>\n<p>In the United Nations the Latino Impact Summit debated alliances for the progress of <span class=\"xn-location\">Latin America<\/span> as part of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/calafoundation.org\/revista-lis-17\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Sustainable Development Objectives<\/a>, which is a global call to adopt measures against poverty, to protect the planet and to ensure that everyone enjoys peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>During the summit singer, actress and Mexican businesswoman <b>Thal\u00eda <\/b>received the Latino Impact Summit 2017 Award for her humanitarian work.<\/p>\n<p>Also recognized was Cuban-American businessman Carlos Guti\u00e9rrez, president of Albright Stonebridge Group and the former Secretary of Commerce of <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>, who received the Award for Latin American Excellence for promoting economic relationships and contributing to eliminating commercial barriers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To help our people, we must get it into our heads that it is not enough to be represented. We Latinos want to be leaders, to manage people.
