Soon after the special aired, <b>HITN<\/b> engaged in a variety of relief efforts for the island. The <span class=\"xn-location\">Brooklyn<\/span>-based cable channel helped secure shipping containers for the community of <span class=\"xn-location\">New York City<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Hartford, Connecticut<\/span> so cases of bottled water, batteries, canned foods, and clothing could be sent to <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span>. &#8220;<b>HITN <\/b>also\u00a0purchased and installed water filters in schools located in Vieques,&#8221; added Nieves. <\/p>\n<p>Today, months after Hurricane Maria devastated <span class=\"xn-location\">Puerto Rico<\/span>, HITN wants to highlight all the progress being made by local government officials, civil organizations, private companies, small and medium companies, local non-for-profits, foundations and civil entities about the island&#8217;s economic recovery. Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation (WIPR)\u00a0will showcase the program on <span class=\"xn-chron\">Sunday, July 1<\/span><sup>st<\/sup> at <span class=\"xn-chron\">10:00 p.m. EST<\/span>, with a rebroadcast of the thirteen half-hour episodes of the series every Tuesday at <span class=\"xn-chron\">7:30 p.m. EST<\/span><i>. <\/i><\/p>\n<p>The President for WIPR, <span class=\"xn-person\">Rafael Batista<\/span> said, &#8220;<i>Puerto Rico Contigo<\/i> will be HITN&#8217;s very first production that will air regularly in WIPR.
