That&#8217;s why we&#8217;re hoping Proposition 6 fails.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For us, better roads and rail links to the Bay Area (and <span class=\"xn-location\">Sacramento<\/span> via Amtrak) are crucial. But there are similar dreams all over the state, which is why organizations such as the <span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span> Chamber of Commerce, the Sierra Club, 29 labor groups, the Building Industry Association, the League of Women Voters, the <span class=\"xn-location\">California<\/span> Highway Patrolman&#8217;s Association and dozens more <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/noprop6.com\/?utm_source=AdWords&amp;utm_medium=search&amp;utm_campaign=paid&amp;utm_term=attackonsafety&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjcihm9_M3AIVFNlkCh3WuA6kEAAYASAAEgLppPD_BwE\" rel=\"nofollow\">all urge a &#8216;No&#8217; vote<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s tempting to vote to save a few cents at the pump and to repudiate the tax-happy politicians. But 6,500 bridge, road and transit projects awaiting gas-tax funding. If Prop 6 passes, those projects get put on hold \u2013 perhaps permanently.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What does that mean here? About <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/noprop6.com\/?utm_source=AdWords&amp;utm_medium=search&amp;utm_campaign=paid&amp;utm_term=attackonsafety&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjcihm9_M3AIVFNlkCh3WuA6kEAAYASAAEgLppPD_BwE\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"xn-money\">$359 million<\/span> in <\/a><span class=\"xn-location\">San Joaquin County<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-money\">$275 million<\/span> in <span class=\"xn-location\">Stanislaus<\/span>. The city of <span class=\"xn-location\">Modesto<\/span> would forgo repaving 93 miles of road, and <span class=\"xn-location\">Tuolumne County<\/span> would lose out on 51 miles.
