Tourism, food security, manufacturing, logistics, and renewable energy have been identified as high-potential areas where companies in the UAE and <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> region can expand economic cooperation, according to new analysis from <span class=\"xn-location\">Dubai<\/span> Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg6e74left\" style=\"WIDTH: 100%; TEXT-ALIGN: left\" dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg6e74left\" title=\" \" border=\"0\" alt=\" \" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/791443\/UAE_Caribbean_Cooperation_Forum_Logo.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p>The findings, released on sidelines of the first UAE-Caribbean Cooperation Forum in <span class=\"xn-location\">Dubai<\/span>, revealed that the value of non-oil trade between <span class=\"xn-location\">Dubai<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> countries totaled <span class=\"xn-money\">$273 million<\/span> in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Bilateral non-oil trade was dominated by imports from the <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> which were valued at <span class=\"xn-money\">$183 million<\/span> in 2017, while <span class=\"xn-money\">$90 million<\/span> worth of exports contributed 33% to <span class=\"xn-location\">Dubai&#8217;s<\/span> trade with the region.<\/p>\n<p>Suriname ranked as <span class=\"xn-location\">Dubai&#8217;s<\/span> top <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> trading partner in 2017, with bilateral non-oil trade valued at <span class=\"xn-money\">$113.8 million<\/span>, accounting for 42% of the emirate&#8217;s trade with the region. <span class=\"xn-location\">Guyana<\/span> ranked second with <span class=\"xn-money\">$52.1 million<\/span> in bilateral trade, followed by <span class=\"xn-location\">Dominican Republic<\/span> and Trinidad\u00a0and <span class=\"xn-location\">Tobago<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the findings revealed that the number of <span class=\"xn-location\">Caribbean<\/span> companies registered with Dubai Chamber increased by 54% from 403 in 2013 to reach 621 in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Hamad Buamim, President &amp;
