(500 West University Ave, <span class=\"xn-location\">El Paso, Texas<\/span> 79968).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0hands-on\u00a0exhibit\u00a0raises\u00a0awareness\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0<i>All of Us\u00a0<\/i>Research Program\u2014an ambitious effort to gather data from 1 million or more people living in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>, to advance individualized prevention, treatment and care for people of all backgrounds. People ages 18 and older, regardless of health status, will be able to enroll and share information for research.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span class=\"xn-org\">UTEP<\/span> is honored the National Alliance for Hispanic Health\u00a0has chosen <span class=\"xn-location\">El Paso<\/span> as an important stop for the <i>All of Us<\/i> national tour. With a population that is 83% Hispanic, <span class=\"xn-location\">El Paso<\/span> is a window into the rapidly growing Hispanic community. This is important as there is minimal participation of Hispanics in biomedical, behavioral or social science\u00a0research,&#8221; Robert A.\u00a0Kirken,\u00a0Ph.D.,\u00a0College of Science Dean and principal investigator of <span class=\"xn-org\">UTEP&#8217;s<\/span> Border Biomedical Research Center (BBRC)\u00a0explained. &#8220;Participation in research studies and clinical trials has tremendous implications for drug therapies and interventions which can make a huge difference in the health outcomes of our community.
