As a mecca for Latin American art, our galleries&#8217; presence in Miami Art Week is vital positioning <span class=\"xn-location\">Chile&#8217;s<\/span> brand and identity in the art world,&#8221; explained <span class=\"xn-person\">Jorge O&#8217;Ryan<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>At <i>PINTA Miami,<\/i> <i><u>Factor\u00eda <span class=\"xn-location\">Santa Rosa<\/span><\/u><\/i>\u00a0sold three pieces by 27-year-old Fernanda L\u00f3pez. <i>Modos de Calzar <\/i>was purchased by CIFO (Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation).\u00a0<i>Mitologia del Caminar, <\/i>also by L\u00f3pez, was sold to renowned Latin-American collector <span class=\"xn-person\">Claudio Engel<\/span>. They also sold <i>Introducciones del Vestir<\/i>, by Fernanda L\u00f3pez, and pieces by Germ\u00e1n Gana and <span class=\"xn-person\">Gonzalo Cienfuegos<\/span>.\u00a0 The <i><u>Isabel Croxatto<\/u> <\/i>gallery sold two pieces of the <i>An Unfolding Portrait <\/i>series by Andrea Lev\u00eda and <i>Faces Traces <\/i>by <span class=\"xn-person\">Andrea Wolf<\/span>. <u>NAC<\/u>, the youngest of all the Chilean galleries attending this year, sold <i><span class=\"xn-person\">Ruina Blanda<\/span>, <\/i>a mix media piece by <span class=\"xn-person\">Matthew Neary<\/span>. Lastly, <i><u>La Sala<\/u><\/i> gallery sold three pieces by the <i>Obras en Aluminio <\/i>series by Marcela Mu\u00f1iz, a piece by <span class=\"xn-person\">Gonzalo Sanchez<\/span>: <i>Geometria Sagrada, <\/i>and a bronce sculpture by <span class=\"xn-person\">Ignacio Gana<\/span>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are off to a successful start for SISMICA, as we exceeded our expectations in this first interventions. We will continue to execute on our long-term strategies,&#8221; said\u00a0Isabel Aninat, President of AGAC (Association of Chilean Contemporary Art Galleries). &#8220;Our confidence in our model allowed us to showcase strong selection in all three fairs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Also, at <i>PINTA Miami<\/i>, the Chilean pavilion was curated by <span class=\"xn-person\">Matias Allende<\/span>. <i>From a demented geography to the telluric<\/i>\u00a0is a study of Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral&#8217;s prose and the intrinsic relationship of the subjects with the landscape.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are very excited with what happened at <i>PINTA Miami,&#8221; <\/i>explained Isabel Croxatto, Treasurer of AGAC. &#8220;This was the first time for most of the galleries in Miami Art Week. Without the support of ProChile and SISMICA, this would have not been possible for most of them.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>At <i>Art <span class=\"xn-location\">Miami<\/span><\/i>, <u><i>AMS<\/i>-XS<\/u>, brought an incredible proposition by 2 artists who were well received by all attending. They sold four pieces by <span class=\"xn-person\">Nicolas Radic<\/span>: <i>Aluminio, Celofan, Plastico Negro y Aluminio 2<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p><i>Untitled <\/i>housed <i><u>Aninat.<\/u> <\/i>From established artist&#8217;s <span class=\"xn-person\">Lotti Rosenfeld<\/span>, the gallery sold <i>Plaza de la Revoluci\u00f3n, La Habana. <\/i>From Mid-career <span class=\"xn-person\">Monica Bengoa<\/span>, the gallery sold <i>One hundred and sixty-three shades of yellow, green, orange, red, purple, brown, grey and blue (so far)<\/i>. Lastly, a piece from emerging artist Mariana Najmanovich <i>Untitled I. <\/i>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To be in <span class=\"xn-location\">Miami<\/span> as a block was an amazing experience that not only solidify our presence as individual galleries, but also as a country.
