This is an innovative and fierce 7-week fundraising competition for exemplary high school students where students and their teams activate their personal networks to raise critical funds. LLS invests these funds to advance breakthrough treatments and to support the more than 1.3 million blood cancer patients in the U.S. The teams who raise the most money at the end of the 7-week competition, from <span class=\"xn-chron\">January 11<\/span><sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 2<\/span><sup>nd<\/sup>, earns the title, &#8220;Student(s) of the Year&#8221; (SOY).
