Six regional scholarships of <span class=\"xn-money\">$2,500<\/span> each will be awarded by the VBA, and from those six winners an overall statewide winner will be chosen. The statewide winner will receive an additional <span class=\"xn-money\">$5,000<\/span> scholarship &#8211; <span class=\"xn-money\">$7,500<\/span> in total. There will also be six honorable mention scholarships of <span class=\"xn-money\">$1,000<\/span> each. In all, twelve students statewide will receive scholarships totaling <span class=\"xn-money\">$26,000<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>First Bank &amp; Trust Company will host eight students from high schools in <span class=\"xn-location\">Abingdon<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Big Stone Gap<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Coeburn<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Max Meadows<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Norton<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">St. Paul<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Staunton<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Wise<\/span>.
