Competitors can be in any of eight categories:<\/p>\n<p><b>Engines of Job Creation<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 job creating technologies or businesses that directly or indirectly address employment for Latinos<br \/><b>Educational Attainment<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 addressing education disparities in the Latino community, either with or without technology<br \/><b>Financial Strength<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 financial technologies, services or financial intermediaries that increase access to financing and financial services for Latinos<br \/><b>Engineering Prowess<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 companies with a product or service that addresses engineering challenges on a broad scale<br \/><b>Healthy Communities<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 health tech and healthcare, addressing health disparities or increasing access to health care in the Latinx communities<br \/><b>New Economy Services <\/b>\u2013 tech enabled, traditionally analog businesses which are made scalable by the tech engagement<br \/><b>Media <\/b>\u2013 businesses which include social media and other forms of media engagement<br \/><b>Data Analytics <\/b>\u2013 companies that use technology to source or analyze data in new and interesting ways<\/p>\n<p>Applicants can be in a tech field or a tech-enabled traditional business, and must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Generating revenue\n<\/li>\n<li>Seeking equity investment of $250K+\n<\/li>\n<li>Have a Latinx founder(s) with at least 20% equity stake in the company\n<\/li>\n<li>Company duly organized as a C-corp or LLC in the U.S.\n<\/li>\n<li>No outstanding judgments against the Company\n<\/li>\n<li>If selected, would prepare and present in person at the L&#8217;ATTITUDE Match-Up event in <span class=\"xn-location\">San Diego, CA<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Match-Up will also invite live matchmaking with additional investors from the audience, and will offer &#8220;Matchmaker Seats&#8221; to three to five major investors who are prepared to invest an additional <span class=\"xn-money\">$250K<\/span> on the spot, pending their own due diligence.<\/p>\n<p>Presentations will take place on\u00a0September 29, 2019\u00a0in <span class=\"xn-location\">San Diego, CA<\/span> as part of the L&#8217;ATTITUDE Event <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 26-29<\/span><sup>th<\/sup>.
