(PRNewsFoto\/The Home Depot Foundation)\" align=\"middle\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/768110\/Home_Depot_Foundation_Logo.jpg\" imagelabel=\"General\"\/><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;After a successful year of rolling out our military trades training program with HBI, we&#8217;re excited to announce the expansion of our joint program into high schools across the U.S.,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Shannon Gerber<\/span>, executive director of The Home Depot Foundation. &#8220;With the open job rate increasing every month, this work is important in the short- and long-term, and we&#8217;re proud to provide an on ramp for these students into a career in the trades.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Initially, the program and its industry-recognized curriculum will be available to 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> grade students in approximately 25 high schools with a focus on underserved communities across <span class=\"xn-location\">Colorado<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Florida<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Virginia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Alaska<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Texas<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Alabama<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Tennessee<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">New Jersey<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Massachusetts<\/span>. Upon completion, participants will earn a pre-apprenticeship certification\u2014endorsed by the National Association of Home Builders and recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor\u2014provided at no additional cost to students and their families.
