Rogers College of Law is partnering with Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM) on a first-of-its-kind certificate program teaching Mexican public law and policy in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>. The courses will be available both online and in-person on the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=2669490-1&amp;h=3190328440&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Flaw.arizona.edu%2Fmexican-law-and-policy&amp;a=University+of+Arizona\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"xn-org\">University of Arizona<\/span><\/a>\u00a0campus. This innovative certification is open to attorneys, judges, scholars, business leaders and anyone interested in Mexican public law and policy.<\/p>\n<p>The courses will be taught in Spanish by top scholars from UNAM and leading figures in the Mexican legal system, such as Juan Luis Gonz\u00e1lez Alc\u00e1ntara, Justice of the Supreme Court of <span class=\"xn-location\">Mexico<\/span>, and Jos\u00e9 de Jes\u00fas Orozco Henr\u00edquez, Commissioner of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.<\/p>\n<p>Course topics will include Mexican constitutional law, human rights, electoral systems, distribution of power, public policy, economic and social regulations, and more.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are in a critical moment in U.S.-<span class=\"xn-location\">Mexico<\/span> relations right now, and we believe this certificate in Mexican public law and policy will equip people to appreciate the complexities and dynamics of the Mexican legal system. Intermediate Spanish fluency is necessary, though each course will have a bilingual teaching assistant, and all faculty members are bilingual. A legal background is not required. <\/p>\n<p>Participants may enroll in any number of the four courses, and those who complete all four will receive a <i>diplomado<\/i> (certificate) from UNAM.
