The championship game was played on <span class=\"xn-chron\">February 2, 2020<\/span> at Hard Rock Stadium. <\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Super Bowl LIV generated <span class=\"xn-money\">$572 million<\/span> in new spending in the <span class=\"xn-org\">Miami<\/span>, South Florida Tri-county area. \u00a0Visiting spectators, NFL teams, media, as well as the NFL and Miami Dolphins spent <span class=\"xn-money\">$275 million<\/span> to produce the event, adding 4,600 annual equivalent jobs, and <span class=\"xn-money\">$34 million<\/span> in state and local tax revenues.<\/p>\n<p>Miami Dolphins owner <span class=\"xn-person\">Stephen Ross<\/span> invested <span class=\"xn-money\">$579 million<\/span> for renovations and major capital improvements to Hard Rock Stadium during 2015-2019, which enabled the city to attract and host one of the world&#8217;s premier sporting events. &#8220;We were excited to host Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium. Average daily spending by visitors was more than twice the average in other weeks of the year in <span class=\"xn-location\">Miami<\/span>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The economic study was based on a survey of 1,432 persons during <span class=\"xn-chron\">January 30 through February 3<\/span> at various locations in the <span class=\"xn-location\">Miami<\/span> area. Surveyed respondents reported spending an average of <span class=\"xn-money\">$1,781<\/span> per travel party per day in the local area.
