Settling Defendants deny all claims and have asserted\u00a0that their conduct results in lower health care costs and greater access to care for its customers.\u00a0The Court has not decided who is right.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prntac\"><b>Who is affected?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You may be eligible to receive payment\u00a0if you are an\u00a0<b>Individual<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Insured Group<\/b>\u00a0(and their employees) or\u00a0<b>Self-Funded Account<\/b>\u00a0(and their employees) that purchased or were enrolled in a Blue Cross or Blue Shield health insurance or administrative services plan during one of the two Settlement Class Periods. Government accounts are excluded from the Class.<\/p>\n<p>The Settlement Class Period for\u00a0<b>Individuals\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<b>Insured Groups<\/b>\u00a0is from <span class=\"xn-chron\">February 7, 2008<\/span> through\u00a0October 16, 2020.\u00a0The Settlement Class Period for\u00a0<b>Self-Funded Accounts<\/b>\u00a0is\u00a0from <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 1, 2015<\/span> through\u00a0October 16, 2020.\u00a0 Dependents, beneficiaries (including minors), and non-employees are\u00a0<b>NOT<\/b>\u00a0eligible to receive payment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All\u00a0<b>Individuals<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Insured Groups<\/b>, and\u00a0<b>Self-Funded Accounts<\/b>\u00a0that purchased or were enrolled in a Blue Cross or Blue Shield health insurance or administrative services plan from <span class=\"xn-chron\">February 7, 2008<\/span> through\u00a0October 16, 2020 will also benefit from the provisions of the Settlement requiring Settling Defendants to change certain of their practices that were alleged to be anticompetitive.
