The ACP will provide eligible households with a benefit of up to <span class=\"xn-money\">$30<\/span> a month and up to <span class=\"xn-money\">$75<\/span> on qualifying Tribal lands to reduce the cost of broadband service. The ACP will replace the temporary Emergency Broadband Benefit.<\/p>\n<p><b>Why is this important?<\/b>\u00a0The ACP will help make broadband services more affordable for about 30 percent of American households who may qualify. Affordability is one of the key issues creating the digital divide \u2013 the gap between those who have internet services and those who don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p><b>How do I take advantage of this? <\/b>The ACP will begin accepting eligibility applications and enrollments on <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31<\/span>, 2021.\u00a0AT&amp;T and Cricket Wireless will begin enrolling customers in early January. Customers will first need to find out if they are eligible by visiting <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3400532-1&amp;h=1295723228&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Facpbenefit.org%2F&amp;a=acpbenefit.org\" rel=\"nofollow\">acpbenefit.org<\/a> when the ACP starts on <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 31, 2021<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>What if I&#8217;m already receiving the Emergency Broadband Benefit? <\/b>You don&#8217;t have to do anything right now. Existing EBB customers will continue to receive their benefit through <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span> if they enrolled by <span class=\"xn-chron\">6 p.m. ET<\/span> on <span class=\"xn-chron\">Dec. 30<\/span>. We&#8217;ll be providing more information to customers about transitioning to ACP in the coming weeks.
