This investment will help ensure that substantially more Americans can afford the broadband connections they need for work, school, healthcare and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Why is this important? <\/b>Affordability is one of the key roadblocks to narrowing the digital divide. The ACP will provide eligible customers with federal benefits that can be applied to home internet or wireless services from AT&amp;T and Cricket Wireless. <\/p>\n<p><b>What&#8217;s new?<\/b>\u00a0<br \/>Under the ACP, the maximum monthly benefit will change to up to <span class=\"xn-money\">$30<\/span> per month for eligible households. The monthly benefit will remain at <span class=\"xn-money\">$75<\/span> per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Existing EBB customers will continue to receive monthly benefits of up to <span class=\"xn-money\">$50<\/span> per month through <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>Households will also have new ways to qualify for ACP such as: receiving WIC benefits or having an income at or below 200% of the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3405763-1&amp;h=554899873&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Faspe.hhs.gov%2Fpoverty-guidelines&amp;a=Federal+Poverty+Guidelines\" rel=\"nofollow\">Federal Poverty Guidelines<\/a>.\u00a0You can find all eligibility requirements at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3405763-1&amp;h=4188232295&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.acpbenefit.org%2F&amp;a=acpbenefit.org.\" rel=\"nofollow\">acpbenefit.org.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>When does this change take effect?<br \/><\/b>New customers can confirm eligibility with the National Verifier and enroll in the ACP today. EBB enrollment ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 30, 2021<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p><b>I&#8217;m currently receiving the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB). What do I need to do?<br \/><\/b>Nothing right now. Your current benefit will remain the same through <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span>. To receive ACP benefit after <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span>, you may be contacted by the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3405763-1&amp;h=1107931591&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.usac.org%2F&amp;a=Universal+Services+Administrative+Co.\" rel=\"nofollow\">Universal Services Administrative Co.<\/a> (USAC) to reverify your eligibility. If you qualified under the EBB COVID temporary loss of income criteria, the National Verifier will need to reverify your eligibility under different criteria prior to <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p><i>The main thing to remember is that the monthly subsidy will decrease from the EBB program&#8217;s <span class=\"xn-money\">$50<\/span> maximum to up to <span class=\"xn-money\">$30<\/span> under the ACP on <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 1<\/span> (there is no change to the Tribal benefit). <\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>I never participated in the EBB. How do I enroll in the ACP?<br \/><\/b><u>Step 1<\/u>\u00a0\u2013 You must first apply to the federal government&#8217;s National Verifier at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3405763-1&amp;h=4142039716&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Facpbenefit.org%2F&amp;a=ACPBenefit.org\" rel=\"nofollow\">ACPBenefit.org<\/a> to determine if you are eligible for ACP. Eligibility is determined by the federal government, not by AT&amp;T. You may get approved online in just a few minutes, although it could take up to a few days if an application requires a manual review.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 2<\/u>\u00a0\u2013 Once approved, you will be able to order new AT&amp;T Internet or prepaid wireless service, or have the benefit applied to your existing service.
