This year, <span class=\"xn-org\">Phillips<\/span> 66 worked with DonorsChoose to donate <span class=\"xn-money\">$100,000<\/span> to teachers in <span class=\"xn-location\">Amarillo<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Lubbock, Texas<\/span>, and <span class=\"xn-location\">Kansas City, Missouri<\/span>, metro-area schools. In addition to the donation, three extraordinary teachers \u00ad\u2014 Mrs. <span class=\"xn-person\">Alexa Ybarra<\/span> from Will Rogers Elementary in <span class=\"xn-location\">Amarillo, Texas<\/span>; Ms. <span class=\"xn-person\">Caitlin McCartney<\/span> from <span class=\"xn-person\">Guadalupe Centers High School<\/span> in <span class=\"xn-location\">Kansas City, Missouri<\/span>, and Mrs. <span class=\"xn-person\">Andrea Smetana<\/span> from Fox Hill Elementary in <span class=\"xn-location\">Kansas City, Missouri<\/span> \u2014\u00a0were selected as 2022&#8217;s Live to the Full Heroes. The teachers will be honored at the <span class=\"xn-org\">Phillips<\/span> 66 Big 12 Basketball Championships on <span class=\"xn-chron\">Friday, March 11<\/span> and receive an additional <span class=\"xn-money\">$6,600<\/span> donation to fund projects in their schools and classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;According to a survey from the U.S. Department of Education, teachers spend an average of <span class=\"xn-money\">$500<\/span> of their own money every year on supplies.
