Nine out of ten patients treated for addiction to these tranquilizers and who completed their follow-up regime in 2015 have made excellent progress.

One of the key factors in the effectiveness of the detoxification programme is the application of the most advanced pharmacology during the first 72 hours of treatment in order to regulate the neural changes resulting from prolonged consumption of tranquilizers. After hospitalisation, patients receive psychotherapeutic treatments for one year using modern techniques which are personalised with the aim of resolving conflicts which may exist in each patient’s social, workplace or family environments.
Recent scientific studies indicate new consequences of prolonged consumption of benzodiazepines, including possible links to neurodegenerative illnesses such as dementia.
