KISSIMMEE, Fla., July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Green Relief is located across the street from Florida Hospital in Kissimmee, and is now accepting medical marijuana patients. New rules for Medical Marijuana go into effect ‪June 24, eliminating the 90-day waiting period. Terminally ill patients can be recommended for the use of Medical Marijuana on their first visit and begin the process immediately.

On June 9, during a special session of the Florida legislature 2 new bills were passed. Amendment 2, legalizes the use of full-strength Medicinal Cannabis for patients suffering from a variety of debilitating medical conditions.

“Our business is unique,” says President Kerry Barasatie. “We specialize in medical marijuana. Our patients receive a thorough medical evaluation and a treatment plan tailored specifically for their condition. A patient will be seen by the same physician on every visit, even after five years. We are always available for our patients, and we are here to stay.”

Qualifying Medical Conditions

Patients suffering from cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and similar conditions are eligible to receive medical marijuana.

Receive a Medical Marijuana Card in FL

Dr. Frank Rodriguez works with the patient’s current physician/physicians to evaluate and determine the best treatment options. He then registers the patient in the Florida Department of Health’s Compassionate Use Registry.

Once registered, the patient receives a Medical Marijuana card which must be presented whenever an order is received. A patient may receive an order for three 70-day supplies, before returning to the clinic to be re-examined. The physician must be in the room with the patient when doing the certification.

Under current laws, medical marijuana cannot be smoked. It must be ingested, vaped, or administered as an oil or tincture.

Who Medical Marijuana Can Help

Medical Marijuana offers relief to patients who are not responding well to traditional pharmaceuticals with many unpleasant side effects. Medical Marijuana also helps many other symptoms and can reduce the use of pharmaceuticals in many cases.

Green Relief is not a medical marijuana dispensary and does not carry medical marijuana on the premises. Certified patients receive their orders through Knox Medical, Central Florida’s medical marijuana distribution center.
