MIAMI, Sept. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — 10xU, a company dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and corporations with the right mindset and tools to achieve success in today’s hyper connected world, and the IDE Business School from Universidad de los Hemisferios in Ecuador, the premiere business management institution dedicated to the development of leading business executives, announce the launch of the 10xU IDE Innovation Center located in the IDE campus in Quito and Guayaquil. 10xU IDE was created with the objective of promoting and fostering entrepreneurship and the country’s economic development, while taking advantage of the global platform 10xU offers to offer local companies globalization and exponential growth.
Latin America is known for its thriving entrepreneurial community and local economies are sustained by small and medium businesses. This is even more prominent in Ecuador, where according to a study conducted by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in 2015, which evaluates global entrepreneurship, one in three adults in the country is an entrepreneur or is planning to become one. Ecuador leads the region with the highest rate of early entrepreneurship registered at 33.6%, followed by Chile at 25.9%, Colombia at 22.7%, and Peru at 22.2%.
These numbers show Ecuador is favorably positioned to continue leading the region when it comes to entrepreneurship. However, many of these startups do not have a global mentality, which puts them at a disadvantage. Although they are solving local problems, they are not thinking about exponential growth or contemplating international expansion.
This is what the 10xU IDE Innovation Center will help solve through courses tailored to entrepreneurs and executives, who are either building new companies or looking for corporate innovation, based on the unique methodology developed by 10xU. This methodology addresses head-on the main reasons that cause companies to fail or that stagnate growth for established companies bringing students directly to action rather than focusing on theory. Additionally, it invites entrepreneurs to take advantage of the abundance of global resources so they can take their companies to international markets.
“We are honored to partner with IDE to launch 10xU IDE, as this not only marks the first of our global subsidiaries, it also provides us with a strategic partner that shares our passion for entrepreneurship and our mission to take local innovation to the international stage,” said Lorenzo de Leo, CEO and co-founder of 10xU. “Ecuador is a very attractive market for us, given its active entrepreneurial community, which we want to complement to build a ripe business environment that invites innovation and economic development across the board.”
10xU is the main access point to the Rokk3r Labs ecosystem, and benefits from the company’s experience in Cobuild, the branch of the company dedicated to building companies using the 10xU methodology. Additionally, Rokk3r Labs offers the services of Scale, the branch of the company that develops technological products, and it also counts with the support from the investment fund Rokk3r Fuel. 10xU is committed to preparing future and current leaders so they may face today’s business challenges while stimulating new ways of thinking and promoting innovation.
“We are proud to bring 10xU to Ecuador and announce the launch of 10xU IDE, as it aligns with our commitment to bring our students the best opportunities,” said Ernesto Noboa, Strategic Director for IDE. “This digital revolution is not a fad but a new reality, and every industry of the local and global economy is at risk of being disrupted. We have an obligation to properly train entrepreneurs, CEOs, managers, and their reporting lines, so they may take advantage of exponential technologies and the digital revolution to benefit local and regional economies.”
10xU IDE will begin its courses on October 16. For more information about the 10xU IDE courses, visit www.10xU.ec or for more information on 10xU visit www.10xU.com.
