IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced updates for the 2026 Mazda CX-70. This mid-size, two-row crossover SUV blends sophisticated styling and versatile cargo space with electrified performance. Available with three powertrain options, CX-70 utilizes two variants of the e-Skyactiv-G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo with M-Hybrid Boost, and an e-Skyactiv PHEV with each powertrain paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ all-wheel drive, Kinematic Posture Control, and Mi-Drive modes with Sport and Off-Road. New for 2026, CX-70 adds many standard interior and exterior enhancements that’ll help it continue to deliver a unique Mazda driving experience fit for a wide range of customer lifestyles.

CX-70 3.3 TURBO PREFERRED
All CX-70 3.3 Turbo models are equipped with the standard e-Skyactiv G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo engine that produces 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque on regular fuel. This powertrain returns an EPA estimated 24 MPG city, 28 MPG highway, and 25 MPG combined on regular fuel.

Following the ‘black out’ sporty theme at launch, all 2026 CX-70 models will now feature gloss black Mazda emblems and black badges on the rear liftgate. The CX-70 3.3 Turbo Preferred trim’s black out exterior continues with standard 21-inch black metal finish aluminum alloy wheels, black front honeycomb grille, rear roof spoiler, power, heated side mirrors with LED turn signals, “Inline 6” fender badge, roof rails, and other exterior garnishes. Other standard exterior features include power sunroof, automatic on/off LED headlights with auto-leveling, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillights, High Beam Control, and rain sensing windshield wipers.

For 2026, the value CX-70 3.3 Turbo Preferred trims provide is heightened with standard ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar and two-position memory, and eight-way power adjustable passenger seat. These features add to CX-70’s already impressive array of standard safety, convenience, and technology amenities. Standard interior features include black or greige leather seats, a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, paddle shifters, heated front seats, retractable rear sunshades, interior LED lighting, and optimized cargo with power liftgate, remote-folding rear seats, which allow for more efficient loading at the rear of the vehicle, additional compartments and hooks for bags and other equipment, and a unique sub-trunk design that allows CX-70 owners to stow valuables and other small items out of sight.

Standard technologies include Alexa Built-in, 12.3-inch Mazda Connect center infotainment display with touch functionality when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a seven-inch TFT LCD instrument panel display, eight-speaker audio system, wireless phone charging, front and rear dual USB-C inputs, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, push-button start, and automatic climate control, among other standard features.

Standard i-Activsense2 safety features include Smart Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Driver Attention Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Vehicle Exit Warning, and a Rear View Monitor with static guide lines.

CX-70 3.3 TURBO PREMIUM  
Building on the previous trim, CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium receives a host of upgrades, including a Towing mode for Mi-Drive. This increases the maximum towing up to 5,000 lbs. when equipped with Mazda Genuine Towing Accessories.

The exterior is upgraded with unique hands-free power liftgate, automatic power folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, shark fin antenna, along with more blacked-out items on CX-70’s side profile including the door handles and pillar garnishes. Those with a strong attention to detail will note a contrasting silver valence in the front bumper cover.

Other interior features include a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, Active Driving Display, Bose 12-speaker premium audio system, frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink, upgraded interior lighting, Mazda Online Navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio with a complimentary three-month trial. Added safety features added to this trim are Cruising & Traffic Support, Emergency Lane Keeping that includes Blind Spot Assist, Road Keep Assist, and Head-on Traffic Avoidance Assist, Secondary Collision Reduction System, Traffic Sign Recognition, and adding Speed Limit Assist to the standard Mazda Radar Cruise Control.

CX-70 3.3 TURBO PREMIUM PLUS
The CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus builds upon the features of the Premium trim with a few key inclusions. Standard Nappa leather, available in either black or red, while other luxuries, such as Adaptive Front-lighting System, a 150-watt outlet are also included, as well as a windshield wiper de-icer, and a power panoramic sunroof.

This trim introduces several more safety and convenience features, like a 360° View Monitor with See-Through View and a Trailer Hitch View to more easily facilitate aligning the vehicle tow hitch for towing hook-up, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Smart Brake Support Rear, Smart Brake Support Front Crossing, and Rear View Monitor with dynamic guide lines.

CX-70 PHEV SC
CX-70 PHEV trims have been revamped for 2026 with the e-Skyactiv PHEV powertrain increasing its EPA-estimated EV range to 30 miles. This was achieved without compromising CX-70 PHEV’s driving dynamics while continuing to provide customers who are looking for the extra EV range with essential features important to them. The e-SKYACTIV PHEV powertrain produces 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque with the recommended premium fuel and includes a Charge Mode and adds EV mode to Mi-Drive..

The CX-70 PHEV SC continues the black exterior badges, garnishes, honeycomb front grille, rear roof spoiler, and roof rails on the exterior, but swaps to a “PHEV” fender badge, a black “SC” badge on the liftgate, and adds 19-inch gray metallic aluminum alloy wheels. Standard features on this trim includes power liftgate, power, heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, automatic on/off LED headlights with auto-leveling, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillights, High Beam Control, and rain sensing windshield wipers.

Inside, the PHEV SC offers leatherette seating, leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar, interior LED lighting, as well as the same optimized storage solutions as the CX-70 Turbo models. Standard technologies include Alexa Built-in, 12.3-inch Mazda Connect center infotainment display with touch functionality when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a 12.3 fully digital driver’s display, eight-speaker audio system, front and rear dual USB-C inputs, a Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, push-button start, and automatic climate control, among other standard features.

The CX-70 PHEV SC Plus builds on the features of the previous trim and adds a range of premium interior, convenience, and safety upgrades. Interior enhancements include leather seating, two-position memory driver seat, and eight-way power adjustable passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, Active Driving Display, and retractable rear sunshades. Safety and convenience are further enhanced with secondary collision reduction and front and rear parking sensors.

CX-70 3.3 TURBO S PREMIUM
CX-70 3.3 Turbo S models are powered by an e-SKYACTIV G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo producing 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque with recommended premium fuel. This powertrain returns an EPA estimated 23 MPG city, 28 MPG highway, and 25 MPG combined on premium fuel. All CX-70 3.3 Turbo S models add an available Towing Mode with a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs. when equipped with Mazda Genuine Towing Accessories.

The well-equipped CX-70 3.3. Turbo S Premium has all the features found in the CX-30 3.3 Turbo models while adding machine-cut finish to its 21-inch black metal finish aluminum alloy wheels, the steering wheel adds power adjust for both tilt and telescopic with memory setting, and Driver Personalization System.

Other standard features at this trim include Nappa leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, retractable rear sunshades, power panoramic sunroof, interior lighting, optimized cargo area, and black exterior trims and badges, among many more features.
