Mazda3 receives small packaging upgrades and improved standard equipment for 2026.

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Mazda North American Operations is kicking off its 2026 model year lineup announcements with the venerable Mazda3. Available as a sedan or hatchback, Mazda3 delivers refined design, premium features, and engaging driving dynamics. Both sedan and hatchback models will arrive at dealerships this summer. Buyers can choose between a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode or an available Skyactiv-MT six-speed manual. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, with i-Activ all-wheel drive (AWD) available on select trims.

MAZDA3 2.5 S
Mazda3 2.5 S, offered in both sedan and hatchback configurations, represents the entry point to the Mazda line-up and comes generously equipped with a robust suite of standard i-Activsense driver assistance and safety features. This includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go2, Smart Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Driver Attention Alert, High Beam Control, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Vehicle Exit Warning and Rear Seat Alert. Mazda Connected Services is complimentary for one year, with the ability to monitor the vehicle remotely through the MyMazda app and includes in-car Wi-Fi hotspot capability (three-month or 2GB trial, whichever comes first).
The interior features an 8.8-inch center display with the Mazda Connect infotainment system, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration, push button start, a remote keyless illuminated entry, a rearview camera, two front USB-C inputs, air conditioning, Bluetooth®, and now a standard eight-speaker Mazda Harmonic Acoustics audio system. LED lighting is standard across both variants, as are body-colored side mirrors with LED turn signals, and 16-inch silver aluminum alloy wheels.
MAZDA3 2.5 S SELECT SPORT
The Mazda3 2.5 S Select Sport builds upon the standard model and adds convenience and design upgrades including Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, rain-sensing windshield wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rear center armrest with cup holders. Additional interior enhancements include black leatherette seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Visually, passersby may notice the 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels in black finish and matching black heated door mirrors.
Starting with Select Sport, Alexa Built-in is introduced, enabling hands-free voice commands for vehicle functions such as climate and audio controls, as well as control of compatible smart home devices while on the road.
MAZDA3 2.5 S PREFERRED
Building off the Select Sport, the Preferred trim adds a power sliding-glass moonroof, heated front seats, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support and memory. Sedan models also offer optional Greige leatherette seats, while hatchbacks come with black leatherette as standard. The Preferred features some unique exterior cues include body-colored side mirrors which tilt down when the vehicle is in reverse, silver-finish 18-inch wheels for sedans, and gray metallic finish 18-inch wheels for hatchbacks.
MAZDA3 2.5 S CARBON EDITION
The Mazda3 Carbon Edition stands out from the crowd with a striking Polymetal Gray exterior paint and red leather interior. It shares features found in the Preferred package along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD radio, Qi wireless phone charging, gloss black heated door mirrors, and black 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
The Carbon Edition features standard i-Activ all-wheel drive (AWD), helping to enhance the vehicle’s performance in different driving conditions.
MAZDA3 2.5 S PREMIUM
Exclusive to 2025 Mazda3 hatchback models, the 2.5 S Premium is unique amongst the Mazda3 line-up featuring an a FWD Skyactiv-MT six-speed manual transmission for those who wish to row their own gears.
This package is generously equipped with a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system featuring aluminum speaker grilles, SiriusXM satellite radio with a complimentary three-month trial, a full-color windshield-projected Active Driving Display, Adaptive Front-lighting System, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Mazda Online Navigation with over-the-air update capabilities. Leather seats are offered in black or red. The exterior includes 18-inch black-finish aluminum alloy wheels and signature LED headlights and taillights.
MAZDA3 2.5 TURBO PREMIUM PLUS
The Mazda3 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus elevates the refined styling with gloss black aerodynamics accents with the sedan getting a blacked out rear spoiler while the hatchback gets a rear spoiler and front air dam. Leather seats are available in black or red for the hatchback and black or white for the sedan, along with a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system. Technological upgrades include Cruising and Traffic Support, 360° View Monitor with front and rear parking sensors, Smart Brake Support-Reverse and Smart Brake Support-Rear Crossing, Active Driving Display, Traffic Sign Recognition, and an Adaptive Front Lighting system. The Premium Plus also features a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display that adds touchscreen functionality when paired to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which both have wireless connectivity. Additionally, paddle shifters for the automatic transmission and a heated steering wheel are added. A frameless auto-dim rearview mirror with Homelink, and Mazda Online Navigation round off the upgrades on the Premium Plus package.
