DETROIT, May 28, 2025 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The Automotive Hall of Fame (AHF) is pleased to announce that its 2025 Induction Ceremony will take place at The Department at Hudson’s in downtown Detroit on September 25, 2025. Among the first major public events to be held in this iconic space, the ceremony will mark a historic celebration of the individuals whose contributions have shaped the mobility industry. Induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame is the highest honor in the global automotive industry, celebrating the individuals whose innovations and leadership have left a lasting impact around the world.
The 2025 class of inductees includes:
- Dieter Zetsche – Visionary leader of Daimler AG, credited with steering Mercedes-Benz into a new era of global success.
- Ayrton Senna – Three-time Formula 1 World Champion and Brazilian icon whose talent and spirit transcended motorsport.
- Betty Skelton – Trailblazing test driver and land speed records holder, known for her influential role in developing and promoting the Chevrolet Corvette.
- David E. Davis Jr. – Renowned automotive journalist and founder of Automobile Magazine, whose groundbreaking storytelling redefined automotive journalism.
The line-up of tribute speakers confirmed to take the stage at the Induction Ceremony includes:
- Mark Reuss, President of General Motors, who will honor Betty Skelton.
- Bianca Senna, niece of Ayrton Senna and CEO of Senna Brands, who will honor her uncle’s legacy.
- Eddie Alterman, Chief Brand Officer at Hearst Autos, who will honor David E. Davis.
- Dieter Zetsche, who will attend the ceremony to formally accept his induction.
This year’s ceremony will also mark the beginning of a five-year partnership with MEMA – The Vehicle Suppliers Association as the Presenting Partner of the Induction Ceremony.

The Automotive Hall of Fame has inducted over 300 people from across the world.
