LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ —
WHO: |
Care Harbor is a nonprofit, volunteer-based charity that engages the local healthcare community and committed professionals to offer free care on a massive scale. Care Harbor is hosting its seventh free clinic for the uninsured and underserved of Los Angeles County on January 20-22, 2017. The clinic will provide medical, dental, vision and preventive care to more than 3,000 Angelenos who have nowhere to turn for the health care they need.
This year the clinic is taking place at a new location, The Reef Event Center located at 1933 S. Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles. |
WHAT: |
Care Harbor will distribute wristbands in advance of the clinic on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person receives one wristband and each wristband grants admission to one person only. Wristbands are not removable without destroying them, so the person who receives it will be the one admitted to the clinic. Patients can choose the date they want to attend the clinic, and the selected date will be reflected on the wristband. Wristbands will be given to the parent or caregiver of children or patients who cannot go to the clinic on their own. This person must accompany the patient to the clinic and only the patient will receive services.
