MIAMI, Aug. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Discovery en Español kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month with two new productions: RMD GARAGE and THE AUTO FIRM CON ALEX VEGA. Both series will premiere on September 11th as part of the network’s “Lunes de Motores” the network’s programming block dedicated to the transformation of cars that showcases real life stories that combine technology, innovation and local talent.
In the new RMD GARAGE series (Mondays at 9PM E/P), viewers will meet Ralph Holguín, owner of one of the most famous and reputable workshops on the west coast. Holguin emigrated from Mexico when he was 5-years-old and has had a passion for cars since as far back as he can remember. He dropped out of high school and hustled washing cars to make money. Through sheer determination, Ralph now owns one of the hottest shops on the West Coast in Long Beach, California. RMD Garage has built a reputation of surpassing client expectations and while he never knows what is going to roll into his garage on a given day, he does know that he will be able to push the boundaries and create works of art that will make car lovers’ jaws drop.
Crossing over to the east coast, THE AUTO FIRM CON ALEX VEGA (Mondays at 10PM E/P) introduces Alex Vega and his business, which stands alone in the industry as the go-to, one-stop for celebrities and car enthusiasts alike. All under one roof in Miami, Florida, cars are transformed from the inside out into highly unique works of art. An admitted perfectionist, Cuban-American Alex is uncompromising in his vision, hand-picking his in-house team of specialists to handle big and small jobs for all clients including builds for Marc Anthony, William Levy, and Luis Fonsi’s cars, among others.
In addition to these new series, Discovery en Español will premiere a new season of a viewer favorite: AUTOS ÚNICOS CON WILL CASTRO (Mondays at 11PM E/P). Every time music, entertainment, and sports celebrities want to style their cars, they look for the very best: Will Castro. From his workshop in New York, the renowned Puerto Rican designer constantly innovates and manages to please his demanding clientele transforming their ordinary vehicles into exclusive one-of-a-kind pieces.
