Now in its third edition, the program pays tribute to iconic Hispanic figures whose influence has been woven into the fabric of American pop-culture. Rivera’s leadership and dedication on and off the field exemplifies the meaning of a true legend.

McDonald’s local franchisees are proud to highlight one of baseball’s greatest closers and athletes of all time, Rivera, a five-time World Series winner. As a member of the New York Yankees, he leaves an unprecedented record.

As part of McDonald’s “Celebrando Nuestras Leyendas” local McDonald’s owners in the New York Tri-State Area will make a donation to the Refuge of Hope Church, Rivera’s charity of choice. The faith-based organization is committed to revitalizing and supporting the community of New Rochelle through family-focused programs.

Starting on September 15 through the end of the month, McDonald’s restaurants in the New York Tri-State Area will have tray liners featuring an original portrait of Mariano Rivera designed by 22-year-old artist, Gianna Paniagua.
