DALLAS, Aug. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI) today announced a waiver for all transaction fees for donations to the Red Cross in an effort to support the earthquake disaster recovery currently underway in Italy in response to the devastating 6.2-magnitude quake that occurred Wednesday, August 24. The fee waiver applies to all donations submitted from now through September 30, 2016.

In addition to the fee waiver for Red Cross donations, the MoneyGram Foundation is also providing support through donations made to disaster relief and emergency response efforts initiated by Save the Children for disasters like the earthquake that struck Italy.
Save the Children, a global leader in child-focused humanitarian response, is focusing current relief efforts on providing child-friendly safe places in which children can interact with trained staff as they process the disaster.
Donations can be made at www.MoneyGram.com or any of the MoneyGram agent locations in the U.S. All donations should be submitted to “Red Cross Disaster Relief ” under receive code 2540. Any dollar amount will be accepted up to a maximum of $249.99 per transaction.
