Nat Geo Mundo Honored With Network’s First International Emmy Award Nomination For Original Production “Temple De Acero”


WASHINGTON, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Nat Geo Mundo this week received the network’s first-ever International Emmy Award nomination since its launch three years ago. The nomination recognized the Spanish-language cable channel’s original production, “Temple de Acero,” for the newly created category, Non-English Language US Primetime Program.

“Temple de Acero” is a documentary series that follows 12 Hispanic U.S. military veterans  who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq. Unveiling their motivations to enlist, their experiences while at war and the deep impact it has had on their lives.
