Galan and Dr. Doll will share their inspirational stories while exploring key considerations of starting and running a business. Participants will learn how to decide whether owning a business fits their lifestyle and passions, determine a market need for their product or service, define their target customers and evaluate the competitive landscape. In addition, the webinar will cover the concept of writing a business plan and identifying sources to help with start-up costs. Dr. Yvonne Doll, a member of the second class that admitted women to West Point, served around the world for 26 years in the U.S. Army as a security officer, operations officer, comptroller, commander and leadership teacher. As a professor, she has served as chair and mentor for many doctoral students and their research studies, including one on the characteristics of successful female entrepreneurs.
