James Clark School of Engineering will bring nearly 400 high school students to SHPE’s Pre-College Symposium on Friday, November 13, 2015. The event is designed to inspire high schools students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.Students will have the opportunity to hear opening remarks from Bruk Berhane, Assistant Director Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Scholarships of the A. James Clark School of Engineering and closing remarks from Dr. Darryll Pines, Dean of the Clark School.

This panel discussion will be held between STEM professionals about opportunities in STEM fields, the importance of a college education, and lessons learned. - Identifying Your Leadership Style: It’s About the Personality, Not the Work
Leaders aren’t born, they are engineered. Through a series of exercises, you will identify your unique leadership style and explore key concepts in leadership development. You will also learn how to leverage different leadership styles to build and empower your teams to success.
The event will also include a college and career fair, and campus tour.
