SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The Children’s Rehabilitation Institute of Teleton-USA (CRIT) celebrated the second anniversary of its San Antonio, Texas facility with an inaugural “Believe in Little Hearts” Philanthropic Soirée. The celebration/fundraiser featured patients and families who receive treatment at the facility, along with medical staff, and honored guests who have lent their support to the state-of-the-art facility that annually treats 600 patients from more than 30 states across the nation since opening its doors in 2014. It now has a list of 1,200 children and families wishing to be admitted to the treatment center.

“Our facility is the first of its kind in the USA and is modeled after the largest, private, pediatric rehabilitation system in the world,” said CRIT’s Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Guzmán.

The evening event was an opportunity for CRIT to showcase its 45,000 square foot, architecturally unique design, child-friendly decor, and technologically advanced rehabilitative treatment equipment and professionals to a growing number of supporters from throughout the state.  Several young patients and their families took part in the celebration by sharing their respective CRIT experiences with attendees, providing firsthand patient experience of the unique treatment provided to them. Several of the children also performed the National Anthem prior to the formal program.
