(NYSE: UTX), is expanding its presence in Puerto Rico over the next three years with the establishment of an Operations and Supply Chain Business Services Center. The company is working with Accenture, a leading global professional services provider of industry and business process solutions for aerospace and defense organizations, which will bring decades of expertise to the center. As part of the expanded capability, Accenture will hire, train and manage up to 150 new employees over the next three years. The establishment of the center marks Accenture’s first service operation in Puerto Rico.
With more than 1,500 employees today, UTC Aerospace Systems’ Santa Isabel campus has been in operation since 1992. Over the next three years the site will grow to accommodate the new center and business process service jobs.

The commonwealth’s Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) has assisted UTC Aerospace Systems with the lease of an existing 11,000 square-foot building that sits adjacent to the Santa Isabel manufacturing facility and will serve as the footprint for the center. PRIDCO will also assist both companies in meeting the necessary infrastructure, job creation and training requirements associated with the expansion.
