The Cuban-American lyricist and singer collaborated with El General just prior to the announcement of his retirement.

Performing since she was five; writing and recording since the age of eight, and a professional songwriter at 18, Quin is blurring the lines between U.S. popular music and Latin Hip Hop with her one-of-a-kind sultry style. El General, a music industry veteran who transformed Latin music more than a decade ago with his unique reggaeton sound now a phenomenon, is best known for his hit songs “Tu Pum Pum,” “Te Ves Buena” and “Muevelo.” Having worked with several Latin artists in the past, El General immediately wanted to collaborate with Liza Quin upon hearing the track.

“Liza Quin is one of the most talented artists in the music industry right now,” said El General. “Working with her was an unforgettable experience.”

Quin is taking the Latin Soul and R&B music industry by storm. She understands both the U.S. and Latin cultures having performed on stage with music greats from Jon Secada and Alejandro Sanz to Ziggy Marley. As a lyricist, her credits include several world renowned songs such as Ricky Martin’s Amor (from his Sound Loaded album), Gloria Estefan’s GRAMMY Nominated Out of Nowhere, Mandy Moore’s In My Pocket and Prefiero Perderte for Latino heartthrob Pablo Portillo among others.

The maxi single, “Make Your Move” or “Sube La Temperatura” in Spanish both featuring El General, will be in stores, on iTunes, and on the radio by June 21. The CD will feature radio and club versions of the single and bonus tracks, “L.I.Z.A. Liza Quin will be filming the video for “Make Your Move” in her hometown of Miami the week of May 23. The video will showcase Liza’s upbringing in South Florida and will feature a special appearance by El General.

“Make Your Move” was produced by Jorge Gonzalez of The Bureau Entertainment, who began his career as a top music engineer to Ricky Martin, Will Smith, Paulina Rubio and Victor Manuelle among others. Liza Quin also collaborated with the internationally celebrated Gaitan Brothers on the Spanish translation of the single.
