Raytheon engineer wins prestigious national award


Carla Sayan honored by the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers


TUCSON, Ariz., Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) presented its 2014 National Most Promising Engineer of the Year award to Raytheon Company’s (NYSE: RTN) Carla Sayan. The award recognizes Sayan for her many outstanding technical accomplishments at Raytheon Missile Systems.

Sayan joined Raytheon in 2008 and has worked on several critical initiatives and applications in next-generation information systems such as model-based engineering solutions and cyber-technology.

In addition to her accomplishments in Engineering and Technology, Sayan has demonstrated a strong commitment to making improvements in her community. She has been an active volunteer and mentor regularly sharing her knowledge both inside the company and in the community.
