PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The following statement is being issued by Kroll Settlement Administration LLC to Settlement Class Members regarding Carrero, et al. v. AMN Healthcare, Inc. et al., Case No. 37-2023-00052448-CU-NP-CTL (Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Diego).
A proposed settlement has been reached with AMN Healthcare, Inc. and AMN Healthcare Language Services, Inc. (“AMN”) in a class action alleging that AMN violated the California Invasion of Privacy Act by monitoring and/or recording language interpretation sessions. AMN denies all allegations of wrongdoing and has agreed to the settlement solely to avoid the burden, expense, and uncertainty of continued litigation.
You may be entitled to payment if you are included in this Settlement as a Settlement Class Member.
If approved, the Settlement will provide $4.5 million to resolve the lawsuit. You must submit a Claim Form by October 27, 2026 to be eligible to file a claim form and receive a cash distribution from the proposed Settlement.
If you do not want to be legally bound by the Settlement, you must opt out by October 27, 2026. If you do not agree with the Settlement, you may submit an objection by October 27, 2026. If you do nothing, you will not receive a cash distribution, but you will remain a member of the Settlement Class and will be bound by the terms of the settlement.
A Final Approval Hearing is currently scheduled for December 18, 2026. At the hearing, the Court will determine whether to approve the Settlement, as well as up to 35% in attorneys’ fees, expenses and costs not to exceed $75,000, and Service Award payments of up to $10,000 to each Class Representative.
