As a beloved brand in the U.S., Café Bustelo continues challenging Latino students to submit an 800-word essay in English or Spanish for an opportunity to win a scholarship. For complete information and Official Rules, please visit here.

The essay should describe how their Hispanic/Latino heritage, family, and the community in which they grew up in has inspired their desire and motivation to obtain a college degree and how they plan to give back to their community. All eligible submissions must be received by Friday, May 26, 2017, and winners will be announced on or about September 1, 2017.

In its fourth year, the Café Bustelo El Café del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest has awarded $135,000 in college scholarships to 27 students nationwide. Last year, 550 eligible entries were received from U.S. students. The top nine winners were students who exemplified community engagement and embraced and celebrated their Latino heritage, as Café Bustelo does.
