“Today’s Supreme Court decision is a reminder that members of Congress need to work swiftly to pass bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform.

“While President Obama’s executive actions would have provided temporary relief, we have always needed and continue to need a legislative solution.

“Now is the time for Speaker Paul Ryan to take the lead in advancing non-amnesty reform that will secure our borders, stop illegal immigration, facilitate a legal immigration system while integrating those currently in the shadows in a manner that reconciles the rule of law with our Judeo Christian values.”

The NHCLC is the largest Hispanic Christian organization representing millions of Evangelicals and more than 40,000 U.S. churches. Seeking to reconcile evangelist Billy Graham’s message of salvation with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s march of prophetic activism, the NHCLC emphasizes “7 Directives” of Life, Family, Compassionate Evangelism, Stewardship, Justice, Education and Youth.
