Just hours after their title victory against the Seattle Seahawks, Edelman and Butler each were showing their Disney Side, riding in an open-air jalopy, smiling and waving to guests at the Happiest Place on Earth.

The Disneyland Band, Mickey Mouse and a whirlwind of fluttering confetti accompanied Edelman and Butler down Main Street, U.S.A. It was a dream come true for wide receiver Edelman and rookie cornerback Butler, who led the Patriots to a 28-24 victory over the Seahawks.

Edelman and Butler each contributed huge plays for the Patriots in the final minutes of the game, giving New England its fourth Lombardi Trophy. Edelman caught a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2:02 left in the game to give the Patriots the lead. Then, with 20 seconds to play and the Seahawks on the verge of scoring, cornerback Butler intercepted a pass on the goal line to seal the victory. Edelman’s touchdown catch was one of his nine receptions in the game, for 109 yards.

In the frenzied moments following their team’s feat of capturing the National Football League championship Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Edelman and Butler stood in front of a TV camera and shouted four words that have become an iconic reaction to milestone achievement: “We’re going to Disneyland!”

The commercial aired Monday morning and is the 48th in a series that began in 1987 following Super Bowl XXI featuring New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms. The campaign pays tribute to personal achievements of athletes and celebrities and continues to be a magical celebration as only Disney can do. The commercial can be seen on the Disney Parks Blog beginning Monday.

Edelman and Butler join an all-star lineup of heroes from sports and beyond who have celebrated milestone accomplishments in “I’m going to Disneyland/Disney World” commercials. The lineup includes Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Emmitt Smith, Michael Jordan, Kurt Warner, Coach Jon Gruden, Joe Montana, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Doug Williams, Magic Johnson and NHL goalie Patrick Roy.
