King will not be attending the Barclays Global Financial Services Conference in New York on Thursday, Sept. 13. King was scheduled to speak at 11:15 a.m., but due to the potential impact of the storm on BB&T branches, clients and associates, he will remain in Winston-Salem to help direct BB&T’s hurricane efforts.
