TORRANCE, California, July 27, 2016 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — The Acura NSX GT3 racecar will make its public test debut on July 28 during Pirelli World Challenge practice sessions at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, Acura announced today. The racecar will be piloted by development driver, Peter Kox, during practice sessions on the 2.25-mile, 14-turn road course on Thursday, July 28 (8:50 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. EDT) and Friday, July 29 (4:15 p.m.- 4:45 p.m. EDT).

“Based on a very successful test program, we’re taking the next logical step in seeing how we stack-up against the competition,” said Art St. Cyr, president of Honda Performance Development. “Mid-Ohio seemed like the perfect opportunity, given the demands it places on a racecar and its proximity to NSX R&D and manufacturing.”

The twin-turbocharged Acura NSX GT3 is slated for homologation as an FIA GT3-class racecar this fall, in preparation for North American GT racing competition beginning in 2017. The car will be on display to the public in the paddock of RealTime Racing, Acura’s development partner for the GT3 program, over the course of the race weekend.

The Acura NSX GT3 racecar, featuring custom carbon fiber bodywork and aero components, is powered by a 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin turbocharged DOHC

V-6 engine using the same design specifications as the engine in the production 2017 Acura NSX. The Acura NSX GT3’s aluminum intensive multi-material space frame is produced at the company’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio, the exclusive manufacturing home for the new Acura NSX. Its twin turbocharged V-6 engine is also assembled in Ohio at the company’s Anna, Ohio engine plant[i].

Initial development of the NSX GT3 racecar was conducted by the company’s Japan race engineering arm with testing on race circuits in Europe and Japan.  Additional development, testing and final homologation to FIA GT3 global racing specifications is currently being undertaken by the company’s North American race engineering group, Honda Performance Development (HPD), in Santa Clarita, California.

The NSX GT3 is a further extension of Acura’s GT motorsports program, where Acura, in partnership with RealTime racing, is campaigning two Acura TLX GT cars in the Pirelli World Challenge. Honey Chia Seed Pudding
Kids will love its flavor and texture! You can also add home-made honey granola.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups coconut milk
6 tablespoons chia seeds
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh berries

Preparation:
Combine the coconut milk, chia seeds, vanilla and honey in a medium bowl. Mix well until the honey has dissolved. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but preferable overnight.

Stir well and divide the pudding into individual portions.

Serve with fresh berries. Add granola, if desired.

Honey Wheat Pretzel Rolls
These Honey Wheat Pretzel Rolls will be a fun twist on school lunches. Fill them with cheese, ham, tuna salad, egg salad, etc. Your kids will thank you!

Makes 12 rolls

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/3 cup warm whole milk (about 110° F)
1 cup warm water (about 110° F)
2 ¼ teaspoons yeast
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
Egg wash or milk for brushing
Sesame seeds (optional)
Pretzel salt or coarse sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)

Preparation:
Combine milk, water, yeast, and honey in the bowl of a stand mixer. Let sit 5 to 10 minutes until mixture is foamy. Add butter and set aside.

Mix flours and salt in a big bowl.

Add slowly the flour mixture to the milk-yeast mixture with mixer running on low (hook attachment) until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the bowl and a dough forms. knead dough on low speed for 3-5 minutes until smooth and pliable.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 2 hours at room temperature.

Dust your work surface with a little flour and turn the risen dough out on top. Divide the dough into 16 pieces. To shape into rolls, roll the dough against the counter until round.

Place the balls on a lightly greased baking sheet, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 425º F.

Brush each roll generously with whole milk or egg wash, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and pretzel salt, if desired.

Bake 20 minutes until rolls are golden brown and baked through. Remove them from the oven, and transfer to a rack to cool.

ST. LOUIS and HAVANA, July 26, 2016 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — On the heels of a trip formalizing the arrangement, Logan University President Dr. Clay McDonald has announced an extensive agreement between Cuba’s Institute of Sports Medicine and Logan University to foster collaboration across many aspects of education, research and patient care. The agreement calls for faculty exchange and development, collaborative educational programs and chiropractic care for the Institute’s athletes, staff and ultimately private Cuban citizens.

The initial actions include: the translation of Logan’s online Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation program into Spanish and incorporating a number of the Institute’s acclaimed clinicians as instructors; Logan’s active participation in the Sports Medicine section of Congress of Sports to be held in Cuba in November of 2017; and exchange opportunities for each organization’s faculty, staff and students beginning in the spring of 2017.

Arrangements are currently being made to host the Director of the Institute of Sports Medicine, Dr. Jorge Pavel Pino Rivera, and other key officials from Cuba on Logan’s campus this fall to explore additional opportunities.

The Institute of Sports Medicine is the health care provider for elite athletes in Cuba and a subset of The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER). INDER was created in 1961 after the Revolution when Fidel Castro announced an end to professional sports leagues and created a national amateur sports program, which governs all sport and recreation in Cuba. Sport is a core subject of the educational curriculum at all levels and is given equal weight with other educational subjects. Further, while the Institute, like much of Cuba’s health care program, is significantly underfunded and lacking technology, it maintains a strong international reputation for quality of care.
